Does anyone know where i can download the aion open beta (preferably US version) for free?…..i pre-ordered the game and the aion website gives websites to download it from but you have to be a member to download it and it cost money…

The game is set to be released on September 22nd in the USA and September 25th in Europe.

If you wish to get into the beta, fileplanet will be giving away some keys soon, and if you’re unable to get it that way, you can always pre-order from Gamestop / Ebgames, Best buy, or Amazon.

With those keys, you will create a ncsoft account, and from there you register the key they give you which will allow you to download the Beta Client.

Its still in beta and I think it has a few kinks to work out. Like I said BETA. But my question is are you likely to quit playing wow for this? Im thinking about it. Aion is pretty fun and not like watching a cartoon lol.

They are completely different, like most MMO’s. WoW is the first MMO to go mainstream, but that bad thing about it is that is SO easy and watered down. Ion, from what I read, is very complex, like most other MMO’s compared to WoW. I quit playing WoW after my free month was up. So, if you feel that WoW is “too easy”, then you could probably get the hold of Aion. But if you struggling with WoW, Aion may be too hard.

Question by John K: Do i need to install the open beta client and not the full aion client to play i the open beta?
I have purchased the game and installed the version I bought and I just want to know if that will work for the open beta or if i have to install a specific client, it is now Sept. 6 and i cannot log in.

There are certain times when the Open Beta starts:

Open Beta starts 9 a.m. PDT (5 p.m. BST, 6 p.m. CEST) on Sunday, September 6th.

I’m pretty sure you can play the Open Beta on the full client.
